COAT GUIDE Clippers come in 4 levels: light use, medium duty, heavy duty or super duty. The Andis Easy Clip PM1 sits roughly between light use and medium duty when used for full body clipping. That means it's rated for all coat types for trimming and touch-ups only, and rated for full body clipping only for lighter, thinner or easier coats, and for puppies before they get their adult coat. For dogs with thicker, difficult, matted, mixed texture, non-shed, double or wire coats, we recommend upgrading to the Andis AGC.  If you're unsure, check with us before you buy. Note that blades must be oiled before every use, oiled after coolant is applied, and oiled again after cleaning and before storage. Purchase of a full size oil is recommended as the starter oil included is small.
